Designed to streamline communications between customers and Bioteksa, Bioteksa App offers a one-stop solution for managing orders, inventory, payments, credit and support.

Challenge

  • Costumers had limited access to their account details and product inventory, relying purely on email communication to buy products, making payments and access their account statements.

  • Account statements made the users confused on what do they need to pay each month, how much do they owe and how much discounts do they have for paying early.

  • Bioteksa wanted to promote early payments and keep track of their distributors quarterly goals.

  • Customers can review account statements, track payments, and manage billing directly through the app.

  • The app provides up-to-date inventory data, ensuring that customers have full visibility of their product usage and remaining stock.

  • Users can request agrological advice or assistance with products via a built-in messaging feature, enhancing response time.

  • Access to detailed product information and agronomic recommendations for better crop management.

Results

The success of the app was measured on how many actual clients downloaded and used the app and how much work the credit team saved by having the app.

Things that worked

  • 80% of the users had a better understanding of the redesigned statement of accounts.

  • Reduced communication lag due to email automations and day-to-day statement of accounts for every client.

  • 30% adoption rate of the total users in 1 month.

Things that didn't worked
Most client didn't want to download another app for account managing.

Solutions
Flutter developed a Framework for creating responsive webapps from the same code that was used to develop the iOS and Android app. Material 3 was used to implement a webapp with responsive design with a development time of just 2 months after the app launch.

App payment comparison

This comparison was made to determine the most compatible, efficient and affordable option to implement Online Payments through the Bioteksa App. Flutter integration, Need for user account, Available payment options, and cost was considered to select the best payment provider.

UI kit

Bioteksa Design System based in Material Design 3 was used with modifications to implement a responsive design for web development. A variable systems was develop to test 3 screen sizes with the same components on each, but hiding and showing components depending on the screen size.

Website Design

We made the decision of not making a landing page promoting the app. Instead we promoted the app through our client's email list and made a blog post on bioteksa website showing the features and how to access and download the app.
